You already know to sign it immediately after activating it, but there are other ways to protect it.
- First, make sure you turn on suspicious activity alerts. If the issuer detects anything odd on your account such as a very large purchase if you typically dont make them, or a purchase out of state it will contact you immediately to verify the purchase.
- Never share your credit card information, and make sure you keep your contact information current with the issuer so it can notify you if it spots any fraudulent activity on the card.
- Check your account frequently to see if there have been any unauthorized purchases on it. If you spot any, contact the issuer right away to report it.
- Last, use the card for online purchases only on secure sites and never when youre on public Wi-Fi, and never let an online merchant store your credit card number for future purchases.

What If I Later Return Or Exchange A Device Or Accessory I Used My Verizon Dollars For
Verizon Dollars used toward a purchase thats later returned or exchanged will be reimbursed in the form of Verizon Dollars as long as there is an open credit card account associated with the Verizon wireless account.The Verizon Dollars you used for a returned product will be deposited back to your Verizon Dollar balance .If no credit card account exists on the Verizon wireless account, the Verizon Dollars will be forfeited.

When you apply for a new card and are accepted, youll usually receive the physical card via standard mail within 710 days.
It can sometimes arrive sooner, and you may be able to request expedited shipping from the card issuer. If one of your credit cards is lost or stolen and you request a new one, youll need to activate that card once you receive it.
