What I Wish I Knew Before Signing Up
When booking flights for an upcoming trip, I was surprised to find out I couldn’t redeem points on a co-branded flight, especially since many of the options I was looking at were through American Airlines. I don’t think it would have altered the overall value of the card to me, but it was a disappointment, and something I hope changes in the future. Overall, though, if you fly JetBlue even a few times a year, I’d cash in on the bonus points of this card’s welcome offerit’ll afford you a better travel experience, and get you at least a few free flights out of it.

There Are Only 2 Personal Card Options Available
Lets start with some historical context. American Express was the longtime issuer of JetBlues cobranded cards, but in 2015, Barclays won the contract.
Both consumer cards offer key benefits for frequent flyers and heres a quick comparison of the JetBlue Plus and JetBlue cards side by side:
Like others at TPG, I love my JetBlue Plus Card for many reasons and the $99 annual fee is more than reasonable for its long list of benefits.
For one, the card has helped me achieve Mosaic elite status . In addition, I earn a whopping 15 points per dollar on JetBlue flights .
While the perks on the JetBlue Plus Card are quite lucrative, they start to feel a bit repetitive once you achieve Mosaic elite status. A premium JetBlue cobranded card could unlock a whole suite of unique benefits for its most loyal flyers such as a round-trip companion certificate or annual airline credit that other premium cards already offer.
The information for the JetBlue Plus, JetBlue and JetBlue Business cards has been collected independently by The Points Guy. The card details on this page have not been reviewed or provided by the card issuer.

Earn 3x Points On Jetblue Purchases
The JetBlue Card offers good earnings on JetBlue purchases, and a decent rate on dining and grocery shopping.
Earn 3x points on eligible JetBlue purchases, 2x points at restaurants and grocery stores and 1x points on all other purchases.
The JetBlue Card has a competitive rewards earnings rate, particularly for a no-annual-fee card, and sits squarely in the middle of the pack when compared with other top travel cards. For example, both the American Express® Gold Card and the Chase Sapphire Preferred® Card beat the JetBlue Card on rewards earnings rate, but the JetBlue Card comes out on top when compared to other popular airline cards.
To estimate a rewards earnings rate per dollar spent for the average consumer, we used U.S. Bureau of Labor spending data and multiplied it by the value of each cards points or miles. Here’s how the JetBlue Card stacks up:
Average rewards earned per $1 spent
It’s also important to note that with the recent partnership between JetBlue and American Airlines, you can choose to earn JetBlue points for your flight when you fly American Airlines, and vice versa.
